The Island DP Grant is a targeted initiative designed to support high-potential students in Cyprus. While the IB Diploma Programme (DP) at The Island Private School is open to all, this specific grant is dedicated to a scholarship cohort of 10 students who demonstrate merit but face financial barriers.
Student recruitment begins only after funding is confirmed, ensuring a secure path to graduation.

About IB Diploma Programme
The Gold Standard of Global Education The International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme is a rigorous, pre-university course of study designed for students aged 16 to 19. It is recognised worldwide for its high academic standards and its focus on developing well-rounded, critical thinkers.
Unlike many national systems, students study six subjects across different disciplines (including sciences, humanities, and languages), ensuring a broad and balanced knowledge base.
The programme includes a 4,000-word Extended Essay (an independent research project) and a Theory of Knowledge (TOK) course, which prepares students for the exact type of research and analytical writing required at the university level.
Through the CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) component, students engage in community service and personal growth beyond the classroom—aligning perfectly with our mission to develop responsible future citizens.
Holding an IB Diploma significantly increases a student’s chance of securing admission and merit-based scholarships at competitive universities in Cyprus and across the European Union.
